Easy. Approx. 58" x 65" [147.5 cm x 165 cm], excluding fringe. Gauge: 7 sts and 4 rows = 4" [10 cm] in pat.

Bernat Blanket, 300g / 10.5 oz, 201 meters / 220 yards
Contrast A: Salmon Sand Variegated - 8 Balls
Hook: 10 mm / N

Instructions
Note: Ch 3 at beg of row counts as dc. Ch 158.
Row 1: (RS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. 1 dc in each of next 14 ch. *1 sc in each of next 12 ch. 1 dc in each of next 16 ch. Rep from * to end of ch. Turn. 156 sts.
Row 2: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 15 dc. *Ch 12. Skip next 12 sts. 1 dc in each of next 16 dc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 15 dc. *1 sc in each of next 12 ch. 1 dc in each of next 16 dc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows until work from beg measures approx 65" [165 cm] ending on a 3rd row. Fasten off.
Chain Links: With RS facing, twist 1st horizontal bar at foundation row to form loop. Draw 2nd horizontal bar through 1st bar without twisting. Rep, drawing next bar through previous bar without twisting until all bars have been worked. Sew last loop to second last loop to secure.
STEP 2
Top Fringe: With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to top right corner.
Row 1: Ch 1. Work 111 sc evenly across top of the blanket, working 3 sc across top of each Chain Link. Turn. 111 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1. *(Sl st in next sc. Draw up a loop 16" [40.5 cm] long. Twist loop 40 times. Sl st in same st, allowing twisted loop to coil around itself) twice. Sl st in next sc. Rep from * to last st. Sl st in next sc. Draw up a loop 16" [40.5 cm] long. Twist loop 40 times. Sl st in same st, allowing twisted loop to coil around itself. Fasten off.**
Bottom Fringe: With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to last ch of foundation ch. Work from ** to ** as given for top fringe.

HELP! I am trying to get started on this blanket but I am not coming up with 156 stitches after completing the first row (foundation row).... I'm wondering if it's supposed to actually be 155?? My thought is: we start by chaining 158 which if you subtract the "chain 3 at the beginning" then that leaves you with 155 stitches... I wish there was a video tutorial for this 🙁

I am sorry the sad face. I'm doing the best I can for content in filming. I'm absolutely over my head. I haven't reviewed this pattern specifically yet and I am terribly failing at keeping up with the requests at this time. I'm failing so many people at this moment for resources people with they had, I'm failing into a state of hopelessness and depression. I will do my best to honour your request but I don't have a timing yet. There's just not enough days in the week and hours in a day.
This is a yarnspirations pattern, you can reach out to their customer service if you wish. They have notes on this pattern in this regard. That would be the fastest response right now.

Whoa whoa whoa friend, you are NOT failing anyone in the crochet community, I can promise you that! It's by no means your responsibility to make a video! Usually there are 10s of them on the internet already lol... I'm just struggling bc I decided to UNdo a blanket that I've been working on for a month and a half now because I got the count wrong and it ended up all crooked ? I'm just hoping I can prevent that from happening again by getting the count correct at the beginning lol... I've already reached out to Yarnspirations but no response ? I've noticed many of their patterns have errors, so I thought maybe this was an error too but I can't find anyone who has commented about it anywhere lol... All is not lost, we make due with what we have, keep your chin up!!!

Social media is a rough gig. Honestly... it is so mean spirited. I talked to Yarnspirations during my weekly meeting this afternoon and brought this pattern up for a potential problem. They don't know off the top of their head. I'm really stuck on the part where I am supposed to sew the loop to the one below it. Is there any video out there that anyone knows of that would help to show how this process is done? I don't want the loop to be bulky or stick out past the blanket. 😕
